I have created this game as part of my Graded Unit Game Project for college. This is also my first ever attempt of making a game in Unity using a 3D Environment.

Narrative:

  • The main premise of the game is about a historian in the present day wanting to find out more about the time near the end of the second world war in which the Allied Forces once teamed up with defected German Forces to fight against a German Waffen-SS Division during the battle at Itter Castle. So they’ll build a time machine to send themselves back in time and found themselves just before the battle at Itter Castle in Austria. The only way for the historian to get back to the present is to successfully defend the assault from the enemy German Waffen-SS forces until reinforcements from the Allied US Forces can arrive. If the historian fails to defend then a time paradox will occur for altering the outcome of history and will be forever trapped in the past.

  • The game is based near the end of WWII in 1945 about the Battle for Castle Itter. Where it’s been recorded as the only battle in the war that the Americans and Germans battled together and has been cited as one of the strangest battles of the war. The battle itself is about Allied Forces consisting of a few US soldiers, a few German Army Soldiers, a Waffen-SS officer, the former French Prisoners in the castle and some Austrian resistance soldiers, defending Castle Itter until US reinforcements can arrive against the assault of a German Waffen-SS Division consisting of over a 100 soldiers. The Allied forces had won the battle soon after US reinforcements had arrived to help. The historian must survive and follow the outcome of the battle if they wish to return to their present time.
